Just a PSA about asshole photographer Cameron Krone
A little backstory: Cameron got my old blog with nearly 12k followers deleted (including a bunch of others I ran- about 40-50k followers total) after repeatedly reporting copyright infringement. After the first one I contacted him asking if he’d like me to delete the others and/or if there was a place I could reblog from. He ignored the message and reported the rest and 3 strikes you’re out with tumblr’s staff! The irony here is he only found his pictures on my bog because I’ve always been one of the only editorial blogs who religiously includes model name, photographer and publication if I can find it so everyone gets properly credited.
When I started this new blog I posted a message basically telling him to go fuck himself. Then he got upset because it got a few notes (apparently unlike his actual photos get) and is relatively high up on the results when you search his name. He messaged me all polite and sweet asking me to remove it as it was ‘hurtful’ and ‘damaging to [his] career’. He then tried to blackmail me that he would get tumblr to ‘reconsider’ things if I removed the post but if I didn’t he’d pursue legal action outside of tumblr (ooooh!).
Now fellow fashion blogger bedroomwindow has been treated to the same initial copyright warnings via Mr. Krone that I was and they’ve kindly informed me that this piece of shit is also an [alleged lol] RAPIST. Check out the link above and enjoy all the disgusting, sleazy comments he writes on the photos of the young girls he photographs as well.
‘Court papers state Krone admitted in e-mails that he suffers from “many morbid and dark thoughts” of “rage, aggression, irritability and quickly changing moods.”
He also claimed in a message from 2011 that he had fears of “losing control” and “harming others.”’
And apparently impregnated an underaged 17-y-o model when he was in his late twenties:
“Court papers also say Krone admitted to his business associate that in 2011, when he was in his late twenties, the photographer impregnated a seventeen year old girl that had been modeling for him.”
This guy is a disgusting predator and please fucking boost the shit out of this because if you care about Terry Richardson’s gross behaviour you should be spreading this too as I see pretty much NOTHING about it outside of news articles. We all know there’s a lot of hush-hush position-of-power abuse in the fashion industry but it is fucking important to spread the info around when specific incidents/persons are exposed or nobody will ever hear about it and vile predators like this guy will continue their abuse.
